Homeward Dog Yoga™

This is Ruby, she is my baby and constant companion.

Ruby is also a rescue dog. She’s a young 13 and incredibly spry for her age.

Ruby has brought me unconditional love and made my life worth living more times than I can count.

Ruby started as rescue puppy and now we come as a set.

I know that there are countless other Ruby’s that are waiting for their forever home. Let’s replicate Ruby’s success for the other loving dogs that need their forever home.

Homeward Dog is a new project starting in July where Happy Brain Yoga will be expanding our partner network to include rescue organizations to put on community events to get more people and pups united.

Please pay it forward or help out through volunteering.

Our Approach

WE LET THE DOGS CHOOSE THEIR PEOPLE:

A lot of people have heard of “goat yoga” and cat and capybara cafés. These spaces incorporate highly-social and friendly animals into human activities. These spaces prove how incorporating our furry friends greatly enhances the experience of seemingly mundane activities.

Homeward Dog Yoga™ brings together dogs that have been neglected, abandoned, or abused with the forever companion. Yoga is about compassion, love, and making the world a better place. The word “yoga” itself comes from the Sanskrit yuj (“to bring together”).

Our goal is bring highly-social, loving dogs and the people seeking their new best friend, to a calm, enclosed area. The staff and volunteers of the rescue organization and the staff of Happy Brain Yoga will partner to facilitate an environment where the people will be doing easy yoga postures and mindfulness meditation while the dogs wander the room.

As yoga enhances calm, and opens people to a greater sense of generosity and compassion, the dogs will find their perfect match.

Downward Dog is Where Dogs Find Their Home

Kill shelters are unconscionable, and people need dogs in their life and vice versa. We are truly better together.

Happy Brain Yoga will be holding events coordinated with dog rescue organizations to bring dogs and their forever people together.

OUR GOALS:

  • To unite 100+ rescue dogs with their forever person by the end of 2026.

  • To Partner with at least five rescue organizations in 2026

  • To increase these numbers to 250 adoptions and ten rescue organizations in 2027.
